Sphere_yellowSM.gif (1147 bytes) If you receive a "zipped" or "compressed" file in your email, you will not be able to read it until it is "unzipped" or "decompressed."  This requires a software program that will do all the work.

  • A file is "self-executable" when the file you received will open and decompress itself if you use the RUN commands in the START MENU or double click on the compressed file icon.
  • Click on the START MENU button in the lower left hand corner of your screen on the TASK BAR.  [See Taskbar instructions]
  • Go to the RUN command and click to get the RUN window.
  • BROWSE your directories to locate the file you want to open.
  • Double click on the file name to have it placed in the RUN command window.
  • Click to RUN the file opening sequence.
